Fab Lab Dummy Fork V2

If you've ever needed to drop your fork out for maintenance, send it off to hospital for a forkectemy or simply to just futz about swapping out one fork for another, you already know things can (and do) drop, roll and in the meantime things generally hang weirdly by their cables while you are ready to sort it all out. 

There is a better way to fork about. It is called the Fab Lab Dummy Fork V2. 

Our popular Dummy Fork has now evolved to V2. It is now Vertidextrous – meaning it will work whether you fit it from TOP-DOWN or BOTTOM-UP. We've threaded the post to base so you can insert the post into the head tube from top or bottom. Wicked!

TOP-DOWN insertion allows you to chase the fork steerer through the head tube, capturing the stem and spacers as you go and features our Patternoscopic™ Adjustable Lock Collar for a functional yet whimsical method of locking the post to the desired position.

Of course, if you just want to reinstate the parts from the bench so you don't lose nothin', then BOTTOM-UP insertion is the best method. Simply poke it up in there and add your spacers and stem as you go to keep everything tidy where you left it while the fork is out. Top cap screws to post top and the brake caliper and its bolts screw to the base. 

Fab Lab Dummy Fork V2 offers the perfect place to park all the loose bits – the handlebar, stem, stack rings, top cap, spare bolts and the brake caliper (affixes to the base, with either M6 or M5 bolt. It allows you to work the way you prefer.

Suitable for tapered and straight steerer bikes and has a 240mm steer tube to cater for almost any bike. Suitable for mountain, road and gravel bikes with headset bearings from 1 1/8" to 1.5".
