If you've ever wondered what those little white pins that sit inside the battery slot you slide your batteries into were called — wonder no more. They are called Stabilising Rubber Pins. These pins serve to reduce vibration, maintain assembly stability, perform an essential role in battery retention and make the world of difference when you store your tools on wall mounts like Fab Lab's Wall Mount for Makita 18V tools.
Unfortunately, these pins also have a tendency to go walkabout and sourcing genuine replacements can be elusive and more expensive than they should be.
HERE'S THE FIX!
We've designed the perfect replacement. We made them a tad more snug for retention and we make them in bright orange TPU for visibility. We also made them really cost effective! (Don't pay $15 for a pair on eBay!)
